Product Care Tips
How should I store my handmade soap to make it last longer?
Keep your soap on a well-draining soap dish between uses so it can dry out fully. Avoid leaving it sitting in water, as handmade soap is free of synthetic hardeners and will soften quickly in standing moisture. Stored properly, a single bar can last 4 to 6 weeks with daily use.
What is the shelf life of SunStar Soapery products?
Our soaps and body care products are best used within 6 to 12 months of purchase. Because we use natural ingredients without synthetic preservatives, freshness matters. Store products in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight for the longest shelf life.

How should I introduce a new facial care product into my routine?
We recommend patch testing any new product on a small area of skin, like the inside of your wrist, before applying it to your face. Wait 24 hours to check for any reaction. Once you're comfortable, start by using the product every other day and gradually increase to daily use as your skin adjusts.
Can I use SunStar Soapery bar soaps on my face?
Some of our bars are formulated specifically for facial use and will be labeled as such on the product page. Our body soaps are gentle, but facial skin often needs a lighter touch. If you're unsure which bar is right for you, check the product description or send us a message for a recommendation.

Ingredients & Materials
What ingredients does SunStar Soapery use in its products?
Every product we create begins with one star ingredient: sunflower oil. We chose sunflower oil as our foundation because it's rich in linoleic acid, deeply soothing, and beautifully compatible with sensitive skin. It's the backbone of our soaps and many of our skincare products because it loves the skin that needs gentleness most.
Alongside sunflower oil, we use plant-based oils, butters, and botanicals like olive oil, coconut oil, and shea butter. For fragrance, we use both essential oils and skin-safe fragrance oils, depending on the product. We avoid parabens and harsh detergents. Every ingredient is chosen with sensitive skin as the very first thought, not an afterthought, so you can feel good about what you're putting on your body.
How do I know if a product is safe for my sensitive skin?
All of our formulas are designed to be gentle, but everyone's skin tells its own story. We recommend checking the full ingredient list on each product page before purchasing. If you have a known allergy, such as a sensitivity to coconut or lavender, please reach out to us and we'll help you find the right fit.

Shipping & Returns
How long does shipping take?
Most orders ship within 3 to 5 business days after purchase. Delivery times then depend on your location, but domestic orders typically arrive within 5 to 10 business days total. You'll receive a tracking number by email once your order is on its way.
What is your return or exchange policy?
Because our products are handmade and crafted with love, we're unable to accept returns on opened items. If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, please contact us within 7 days with a photo and we'll make it right. Unopened items may be eligible for exchange on a case-by-case basis.
